WEST TOWN — Police are looking for a man who is stealing power tools from West Town garages.
A man possibly driving a silver Dodge Neon has burglarized seven garages since Oct. 5, according to a 12th District community alert.
In each case, the man forced open a “side service door,” went into the garage and stole power tools. Garages were broken into in the following locations and times:
- 2:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 5 in the 2100 block of West Huron Street
- 10 p.m. Oct. 13-11 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 2400 block of West Ohio Street
- 10 p.m. Oct. 15-9 a.m. Oct. 16 in the 1800 block of West Ohio Street
- 2:30-4:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in the 2100 block of West Erie Street
- 2:30 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 2600 block of West Huron Street
- 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22 in the 600 block of North Damen Avenue
- 5 a.m. Oct. 24 in the 1700 block of West Erie Street
