14 People Die From Coronavirus In Illinois, 1,853 New Cases Reported

In all, at least 8,805 people have died from COVID-19 in Illinois.

CHICAGO — Coronavirus killed 14 more people across Illinois during the past day.

Four of the victims were in Cook County. In all, at least 8,805 people have died from COVID-19 in Illinois.

The state also saw 1,853 cases reported over the past day, bringing the total number of confirmed cases up to 303,394. Illinois’ positivity rate remained at 3.4 percent.

As of Sunday night, 1,631 people were hospitalized with coronavirus in Illinois, including 382 people in the ICU and 155 people on ventilators.

In Chicago, an average of 324 cases were being reported per day — a jump from last week. An average of three people are dying per day from COVID-19. The city’s positivity rate held at 4.3 percent.

At least 2,975 people have died from coronavirus in Chicago, and there have been 81,715 confirmed cases.
