CHICAGO — My Block, My Hood, My City is holding a rally in honor of Breonna Taylor this weekend.

The Say Her Name Rally is planned for noon Saturday at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St. Participants will honor Taylor, a Black woman whom police killed in Louisville, Kentucky, and will call for justice in her slaying.

My Block, My Hood, My City will use the rally to raise money for groups that serve and are led by Black women, according to an email from founder Jahmal Cole.

Those interested in attending the rally can RSVP online. People can also donate to the Black Women-Led Organization Fund online.

One Louisville officer has been charged with wanton endangerment for shooting into neighbors’ homes during the raid — but no one has been charged with killing Taylor, who was sleeping when an officer fatally shot her.
