20 People Die From Coronavirus In Illinois As 2,120 New Cases Reported

Among the victims were five people in Cook County. At least 8,411 people have died from COVID-19 in Illinois.

CHICAGO — Coronavirus was reported to have killed 20 more people in Illinois during the past day.

Among the victims were five people in Cook County. At least 8,411 people have died from COVID-19 in Illinois.

Another 2,120 cases were reported, as well, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Illinois to 270,327. The state’s positivity rate stayed at 3.6 percent.

As of Thursday night, 1,481 people were hospitalized with coronavirus in Illinois, including 329 people in the ICU and 149 people using ventilators.

In Chicago, an average of 249 cases are being reported and two people are dying per day. The city’s positivity rate fell slightly to 4.8 percent.

Coronavirus has killed at least 2,923 people in Chicago and there ave been 76,225 confirmed cases.
