AUBURN GRESHAM — The Anti-Cruelty Society will give away 5,000 pounds of cat and dog food Tuesday at a food pantry event.
Neighbors can pick up their meals at the pop-up pet pantry and food distribution site 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot of the former Sav-A-Lot market, 7908 S. Halsted St., until supplies last.
Nearly 19,000 meals will be distributed to 200 residents, along with fresh produce and shelf-stable items from the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
The event is being hosted by the Greater Auburn Gresham Development Corporation and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
