Coronavirus Kills 7 People In Illinois As Another 1,392 Cases Reported

Among the victims was one man in his 30s in Cook County.

CHICAGO — Seven more people were reported to have died from coronavirus in the past day in Illinois.

Among the victims was one man in his 30s in Cook County. At least 8,186 people have died from coronavirus in Illinois.

Another 1,392 cases were reported across the state, as well, bringing the total here up to 252,353 confirmed cases. The state’s positivity rate was at 4 percent.

As of Monday night, 1,504 people were hospitalized with coronavirus in Illinois, 343 people were in the ICU and and 133 people were using ventilators.

In Chicago, an average of 308 cases are being reported and two people are dying per day. The city’s positivity rate is at 5 percent.

At least 2,896 people have died from coronavirus and there have been 73,622 confirmed cases.
