Police received reports of five intentionally-set fires between 9:30-10:30 p.m. Aug. 23, Chicago Police spokeswoman Jessica Rocco said.

Fires were reported in the 1900 block of North Honore Street, the 1800 block of North Damen Avenue, the 1700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, the 1700 block of West Pierce Avenue and the 1800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, Rocco said.

Detectives are asking for video footage and any tips on who the arsonist is, Ald. Scott Waguespack (32nd) said in an email to constituents on Friday.

Report any information to 14th District Sgt. Adam Henkels at 312-744-8290 or Area 5 detectives at 312-746-7394.

In his email newsletter, Waguespack shared a post from CWB. That post included a video clip of an arsonist setting a fire in an alley dumpster.

The timestamp on the video was 10:08 p.m. Aug. 23, however Rocco could not confirm the video was part of the police investigation.
