WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Food and care package giveaways will be held Friday in Auburn Gresham and Washington Heights.
Trinity United Church of Christ, 400 W. 95th St., will distribute food boxes on a first come, first served basis 10 a.m.-1 p.m. until they run out of supplies. Residents who are planning to walk up to the site are urged to bring a cart or a wagon to carry the 75-pound package of dry goods, fresh meat and produce.
Volunteers will be on hand to register those waiting in line to vote.
In Auburn Gresham, Season to Soar and the Target Area Development Corporation will give away food, care packages, personal protective equipment and gift cards at 2 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at 7859 S. Ashland Ave. to personally deliver the items to the homes of Englewood residents.
