WICKER PARK — You can help local businesses by purchasing Wicker Park- and Bucktown-inspired T-shirts and face masks.
The Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce is selling T-shirt/face mask-combos for $28. The masks are made with 3-ply 100 percent cotton with an antimicrobial finish.
Chamber staffer Debbie Rinella designed the shirts and masks. One set features a heart theme while another lists neighborhood street names.
The shirts and masks are being produced by local business Chicago Signs. Place an order online.
Proceeds will fund the chamber’s micro grants program. Designed to financially support local businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, the program allots $500 “micro grants” to struggling businesses.
The chamber recently loosened up restrictions for applying for the grant in order to help more businesses, spokeswoman Louise Yingduo Liu said. Apply here.
