Woman Hospitalized After Drive-By Shooting In Irving Park Early Wednesday

The gunfire hit the woman in the right side of her head and she was taken to Masonic Hospital in serious condition

IRVING PARK — A woman was in serious condition after being shot in Irving Park Wednesday morning.

At 5:05 a.m. in the 4400 block West Irving Park Road, a black vehicle pulled up next to another car and started honking. Someone in the black vehicle then fired a gun at the other car. A bullet hit an 18-year-old passenger in the right side of her head, police said.

She was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in serious condition. No one is in custody and Area Five detectives are investigating.
