LINCOLN PARK — Broken English Taco Pub has converted its Lincoln Park taqueria into a corner store offering to-go food, face masks and other household items.
The Broken English “Bodegita” opened Tuesday at the corner of Lincoln and Sheffield avenues in Lincoln Park with a limited menu of family-sized taco kits, taco platters and individual meals.
Inside, the restaurant has been turned into a bodega-style storefront with pre-packaged chips, salsas, guacamole and seasonings, as well as candy and ice cream.
Shoppers can also buy disposable and washable masks, Broken English merchandise, CBD and household items like toilet paper, hand sanitizer and cleaning products.
The Bodegita features a limited selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks.
The Broken English Bodegita will be open noon-7 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Orders can be placed online or in person.
