Families Can Get Free Food At East Side Soccer Dome Saturday

More than 400 food boxes will be available to residents of all communities, an organizer said.

EAST SIDE — More than 400 food boxes with fresh produce, canned goods and boxed foods will be available Saturday at the East Side Soccer Dome.

The giveaway will begin at noon Saturday and continue until supplies run out at the soccer dome, 11919 S. Avenue O.

Ruben Saavedra said.

Saturday’s effort comes as the Pilsen-based Economic Strategies Development Corporation continues to pass out food to Chicago families. Other local supporters of the East Side event include the Brianna Arias Foundation and Imagen Marketing Consultants.
