IRVING PARK — A man was hospitalized in critical condition after being shot five times Monday afternoon, police said.
About 3:30 p.m., a 46-year-old man was walking down the street in the 3300 block of West Hutchinson Street when a driver in a dark car going east fired shots while driving past him, police said.
The man was hit five times throughout his body, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital in critical condition.
The shooter was not in custody as of Tuesday afternoon.
