Police, Elected Officials To Host Digital CAPS Meeting Thursday To Talk About Shootings In Irving Park And Albany Park

IRVING PARK — Elected officials and officers from the Albany Park (17th) Police District are hosting a virtual community meeting Thursday to address gun violence in Irving Park and Albany Park.

Thursday’s meeting will be focused on the 17th District’s 1723 beat, which encompases the area bordered by Lawrence Avenue to the north, Irving Park Road to the south, Pulaski Road to the west and Kimball Avenue to the east.

Ald. Rossana Rodriguez (33rd), Ald. Carlos Ramírez Rosa (35th), State Rep. Jaime Andrade and the Albany Park (17th) Police District announced plans for the meeting after a woman was wounded in an Irving Park shooting last week.
