HYDE PARK — This year’s 57th Street Art Fair has been canceled due to coronavirus precautions.

The fest is typically staged on the first weekend in June.

“The medically prudent decision is to cancel our 73rd annual 2020 event,” organizers said on Facebook. “This is not an easy decision to make, and we are saddened by the need to do so.”

Organizers plan to create “virtual exhibits” for artists who would’ve been on display at the fair.

Plans are set to be finalized “in the coming weeks.” Exhibits will allow patrons people to purchase works directly from artists.
