ALBANY PARK — A passenger in a car pulled out a gun and began shooting at the car’s driver Monday following a collision in Albany Park, police said.

Two men were in a Hyundai when its driver hit a parked car just before 6 p.m. in the 3200 block of West Sunnyside Avenue.

After the crash, the driver and passenger began arguing and then “tussling” inside the car, witnesses told police. The passenger in the Hyundai got out and pulled out a handgun and began to shoot at the driver, police said.

The driver was not hit by gunfire but officers who arrived on the scene took both men into custody. Officers recovered the gun as well as drugs from the scene.

Area North detectives are still investigating and no additional details were available.
