ALBANY PARK — Two women were shot early Monday morning in Albany Park, police said.
At about 2:15 a.m. Monday, two women were in an alley arguing with a third woman in the 3500 block of West Montrose Avenue. During the argument, someone armed with a gun inside a black car drove by and fired shots at the women, police said.
A 25-year-old woman was shot in the pelvis, groin, lower backside and leg and a 22-year-old woman suffered a graze wound to the shoulder, police said.
Both women where taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital. The 25-year-old woman was last listed in fair condition. The 22-year-old woman was last listed in good condition.
Police stopped a car with near the scene after the shooting and the occupants were taken to Area North for questioning.
Area North detectives are still investigating. No further information was immediately available.
