Firefighter Hit By Falling Chimney In Little Village Fire That Displaces 10

The blaze broke out just after 2 a.m.. in 2500 block of South Albany Avenue before spreading to three other buildings, police said.

LITTLE VILLAGE — A fire in a Little Village home spread to three others on the block early Tuesday, leaving one firefighter hurt and displacing 10 people.

The firefighter was hit by fragments of a collapsed chimney during the 2:15 a.m. fire in the 2500 block of South Albany Avenue, police said. He was hospitalized in good condition.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation police said.
