EAST UKRAINIAN VILLAGE — A Chicago coffee roaster will hand out free milk and coffee Sunday after closing up shop due to the coronavirus.

Big Shoulders Coffee announced on Facebook its team would hand out free gallons of milk, bags of coffee and pouches of cold brew in East Ukrainian Village at 6 p.m. Sunday.

They’ll be at the corner of Thomas Street and Winchester Avenue, across from Innertown Pub, 1935 W. Thomas St.

Owned by Tim and Patricia Coonan, Big Shoulders announced Friday it would close Sunday amid the spread of coronavirus.

The coffee roasters operate several shops in Chicago, including in River West, 1105 W. Chicago Ave.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was launched for the Big Shoulders staff members who lost their jobs.
