More Than 1,000 Chicagoans Plan Bon Jovi Sing-along From Their Windows Saturday

The song? "Livin' on a Prayer."

CHICAGO — Chicago is getting in on the window sing-along trend.

A Chicago sing-along is planned for 7 p.m. Saturday.

The song? “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi.

The duo who created the Facebook event live in Rogers Park by the Morse Red Line station. As of Friday morning, more than 1,000 people were on board.

“Social distancing can’t keep us from getting together in song. Let’s all hang out and sing as one,” the event page reads.

Viral videos of locked down Italians singing from their balconies in solidarity have become a symbol of the coronavirus outbreak across the globe.

The Chicago event is modeled after those now-famous sing-alongs in Italy.

The number of coronavirus cases in Illinois rose to 422 on Thursday, up 134 from Wednesday. Four people had died of the virus as of Thursday afternoon.
