RAVENSWOOD — Nami Sushi Bar in Ravenswood announced it won’t be opening after weeks of telling customers it was closed for maintenance.
A sign posted on the front door of the business at 1828 W. Montrose Ave. says Nami is permanently closed.
“Thank you all our customers for support and friendship for the past 5 years,” the sign read.
The restaurant’s website had a similar message.
Messages left with the business were not returned.
The restaurant closed in mid-February. A sign on the door entrance it was closed for “maintenance” but would reopen Feb. 28.
That didn’t happen, and soon the closure was announced. Inside the restaurant, the tables were still set for customers and the sushi bar appeared ready for an employee to start prepping meals. A pair of Crocs sat on the floor in front of the sushi bar’s dining area.
