Two Mexican And South American Restaurants Now Open On Lawrence Avenue In Albany Park

From classic American breakfast staples to tacos, Albany Park just got two new dining options.

ALBANY PARK — Two new restaurants featuring Mexican and South American food are coming to Lawrence Avenue.

El Fogón de Elen is now open at 3149 W. Lawrence Ave. The menu is a fusion of South American and traditional American cuisine including breakfast tostadas, salmon plates, eggs Benedict and more.

Mexican spot Campesino, 3207-9 W. Lawrence Ave., also opened Thursday.

The menu includes more traditional Mexican fare like huevos rancheros, chilaquiles verdes and rojos served with rice or beans and a variety of tacos like al pastor, shrimp, steak and more.
