CHICAGO — Spring Awakening, the EDM festival that left Chicago for northwest suburban Hoffman Estates last year, is coming back to the city.
Spring Awakening will he held June 12-14 at Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph St., which also hosts Pitchfork each year.
Presale tickets will be available online starting noon March 3. The lineup for this summer’s fest has not yet been announced.
The popular festival features electronic dance music and draws crowds of tens of thousands of people.
In the past, Chicago residents living near the fest have complained it’s loud and disruptive.
Spring Awakening started as a concert series in 2008 and became a festival in 2012, when it was held at Soldier Field. It remained at the stadium until 2016, when it was held at Addams/Medill Park.
