DOWNTOWN — Chicago Public Schools has released its proposed calendar for the 2020-21 school year.
The calendar would see school starts on Sept. 8, the Tuesday after Labor Day, which is traditional albeit a later start than usual for CPS. The proposed calendar will be voted on and likely approved at a Board of Education meeting Wednesday.
Students would be off Nov. 25-27 for Thanksgiving, and winter break would run Dec. 21-Jan. 1 under the proposed schedule. Spring break would come March 29-April 2.
The final day of school would be June 22.
