CHICAGO — Valentine’s Day is “the most heteronormative of holidays,” according to the Museum of Contemporary Art.
But the museum is teaming up with local drag queen Aunty Chan to challenge that come Feb. 14.
Chan, who uses humor to unite people, will host a queer variety show at the museum at 220 E. Chicago Ave. in honor of Valentine’s Day. She’ll kick off the night with a live ASMR performance before hosting screenings of “No Nose Knows, “The Right Swipe” and “The Burden.”
There will also be a drag performance by Irregular Girl and stand-up from comedian Elise Fernandez.
Tickets are $10 or $8 for MCA members and students and can be bought online. The event runs 7-8:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the museum.
