FULTON MARKET — Aspen Dental signed a lease to occupy eight floors and more than 200,000 square feet of office and retail space at Thor Equities 19-story tower being built at the site of the old Isaacson & Stein Fish building in Fulton Market.
Aspen Dental is a New York-based company that provides business and administrative support to hundreds of independent dental practices that operate under its umbrella.
The company plans to use the Fulton Market location as a Midwest headquarters.
The lease at 800 W. Fulton Market St. runs 14 years and gobbles up nearly half of the building’s 400,000 square feet of office and retail space, Thor Equities announced.
Aspen Dental will occupy 197,000 square feet of office space and 8,000 square feet of retail space, Thor Equities said.

The new lease quadruples its previous office space in the neighborhood.
In June, the City Council approved the Thor Equities tower despite some objections from West Loop residents who said the project would worsen congestion and compromise pedestrian safety in the booming area.

The project being built on a block-long site bound by Green, Fulton Market, Wayman and Halsted streets broke ground in October.

The site was once home to Isaacson & Stein Fish market, meatpacker Morreale Meat and the Mid nightclub.
