IRVING PARK — A man robbed people at knifepoint in the Irving Park and North Park neighborhoods, police said.

In two different robberies this month, a man walked up to someone and demanded their wallet after threatening them with a knife, police said in a community alert.

The robberies happened at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 11 in the 3000 block of West Addison Street and at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in the 3400 block of West Berwyn Avenue, police said.

In both incidents, the man with the knife is described as being in his 30s, weighing 145 pounds and standing about five-foot-ten inches tall.
