HUMBOLDT PARK — Those looking for a way to donate to victims of Puerto Rico’s recent earthquakes can do so by attending an upcoming fundraiser.
The Puerto Rican Agenda, a Humboldt Park-based group, is teaming up with the seven-piece band La Obra on a live music and comedy fundraiser.
The event is set for 5-10 p.m. Feb. 2 at The Wild Hare, 2610 N. Halsted St.
All ticket sales ($20-25) will benefit relief efforts, according to the event page.
Puerto Rico has been hit with hundreds of small earthquakes since late December. The strongest quake, a 6.4-magnitude tremor, left at least one man dead and damaged many buildings.
The earthquakes come as the island continues to wait for disaster funds after Hurricane Maria.
The upcoming fundraiser will feature music from La Obra, salsa group Afincao and DJ Tripp. Abi Sanchez is slated to perform stand-up. There will also be a raffle.
