WEST TOWN — The indoor pool at Eckhart Park is closed for repairs for at least one month.
The pool closed due to a broken air supply fan, Chicago Parks District spokesperson Luis Hernandez said.
Equipment for the repair has been ordered and work will begin once the part is delivered, Hernandez said. The district anticipates the pool re-opening during the week of Feb. 17.
“This timing may adjust if during installation of the new fan further issues are encountered to get the system fully functional and operating as needed,” Hernandez said.
The Park District will keep patrons updated the pool’s Facebook page.
In the meantime, swimmers are encouraged to use pools at nearby parks: Stanton Park, 618 W. Scott St., Fosco Park, 1312 S. Racine Ave. and Sheridan Park, 910 S. Aberdeen St.
