WEST LOOP — A plan to open a weed dispensary on Randolph Street’s popular Restaurant Row will be shown to neighbors during a community meeting this week.
Natural Care Company will detail it plans for 810 W. Randolph St. in the West Loop at a 6 p.m. meeting Wednesday at 560 W. Washington Blvd., Suite 100, according to a letter mailed to neighbors.
The company needs a zoning change as part of the lengthy process of getting approved to sell recreational weed.
According to its pitch to neighbors, “Nature Care Company seeks to provide a safe and comfortable … experience provided by professional and knowledgeable staff.”
Last week, six companies submitted zoning requests for dispensaries at 20 locations across the city, according to the Sun-Times.
Windy City Cannabis submitted zoning applications to open a shop at various West Loop locations including 807 W. Randolph St. No two shops can open within 1,500 of each other.
The company will need to gain approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals.
Nature Care Company and Windy City Cannabis did not return a request for comment.
