FULTON MARKET — The Fulton Market office boom is showing no signs of slowing down as a suburban developer looks to bring a nine-story office building to the neighborhood.
Buffalo Grove-based Shorewood Development Group is asking to bring the 124 foot-tall building to 900 W. Fulton Market Street, according to a zoning application filed this month.
The building designed by HPA Architects would include ground-floor retail, while the remainder will be used for offices, paperwork filed with the city shows.
Shorewood Development Group has no onsite parking planned for the project.
The building would replace wholesaler Nealey Foods. The building was purchased by Shorewood Development Group earlier this year, according to Crain’s.
Shorewood, which could not be reached for comment, needs a zoning change for the project.
