CHICAGO — An alleged attack on a 16-year-old girl Saturday on the Brown Line has now been deemed “unfounded,” police said.
Police originally said that, on Saturday morning, the girl was on the southbound platform at the Belmont “L” stop when a man asked her for her phone number, then got onto a train, put his arm around her waist and groped her.
Another person saw what was happening and helped the girl escape, police said on Sunday.
But on Monday night, police said the report was “unfounded.” They released no further information.
