HERMOSA — Logan Square/Hermosa is now home to a Hoots, Hooters’ fast-casual spinoff.

Hoots recently moved into The Fields complex at 4059 W. Diversey Ave. It’s now open 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday – Thursday and 11 a.m.-midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

Unlike Hooters, Hoots is a counter-service spot (with self-checkout kiosks) and its employees don’t wear short shorts and tight tops. The spinoff is intended to be more family-friendly.

The food is the same, though. On the menu at Hoots is wings served with your choice of sauces and rubs, as well as hand breaded jumbo tenders, huge buffalo chicken sandwiches, crab legs, several new dipping sauces and more.

The Logan Square/Hermosa Hoots is the second Hoots in existence. The first is in Cicero, IL. Hooters plans to open a third in the South Loop.
