WICKER PARK — Is becoming more civically engaged one of your New Years resolutions?

Consider coming to the Wicker Park Committee’s annual holiday party this week.

From 7-10 p.m. Thursday, neighborhood leaders and members of the influential committee will gather at Pint, 1547 N. Milwaukee Ave., for an annual holiday party.

New members — and current members planning to renew their membership — will receive two free drinks.

Wicker Park Committee membership fees are $20 per person, $30 per family or $65 per business.

A cash raffle will offer up prizes from local businesses, including Canine Crews, Volumes Bookcafe, Shred 451, Garden Gourmet, Bollywood Groove and more.

Heavy appetizers are included, as well.

Non-members can attend the party, too. Tickets cost $15 and include one drink.

All proceeds benefit the nonprofit group, which meets monthly to review and vote on proposed developments in the Wicker Park neighborhood.

In 2019, the group voted on several key measures, including support for The Crib homeless shelter, future consideration of cannabis dispensaries and opposition to a high-rise near the Division CTA Blue Line stop.
