CHICAGO — Activists are taking to the streets Downtown again on Friday to raise awareness of climate change.
A similar climate strike in September attracted thousands of people, and teens and kids plan to skip class and participate in Friday’s march as part of the Youth Climate Strike movement.
They hope the rally can force policymakers to talk about climate change and will make Chicago politicians declare a climate emergency.
The march starts 11 a.m. at Crown Fountain, 201 E. Randolph St. From there, the students will march to Federal Plaza, where they will rally until 1 p.m.
People of all ages can participate in the protest.
