WICKER PARK — Some neighborhood groups are trading discussions about zoning for eggnog and cookies this month.

The Ukrainian Village Neighborhood Association and the Wicker Park Committee will replace their regularly scheduled monthly December meetings with holiday parties.

Both groups cancelled their meetings and will instead have holiday parties on Dec. 12.

The Ukrainian Village neighborhood party will be at 6:30 p.m. at J&M Tap, 957 N. Leavitt St.

The Wicker Park Committee’s shindig will be 7-10 p.m. at Pint, 1547 N. Milwaukee Ave.

The West Town Neighbors Association, which represents residents within Chicago, Grand, Western and Damen avenues, will combine its fourth quarter meeting with a holiday party at 6 p.m. Thursday at Mr. Brown’s Lounge, 2301 W. Chicago Ave.

Mitchell Elementary School principal Katie Welsh will attend the event. The neighborhood group will be collecting non-perishable items for donation for the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
