Robberies In Logan Square, Wicker Park Prompt Police Warning

The robbers have struck four times in a little more than a week, according to police.

LOGAN SQUARE — Robbers have struck four times in a little more than a week in Logan Square and Wicker Park, according to a police-issued alert.

The first two robberies happened at 9:50 p.m. Nov. 17 in the 2900 block of West Schubert Avenue and 9:17 p.m. Nov. 18 in the 1400 block of North Leavitt Street.

In those incidents, the robber grabbed the victim, stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone and then ran off.

The second two robberies happened at 7:05 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 1500 block of North Hoyne Avenue and 9:45 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 3500 block of West Schubert Avenue.

In those incidents, the robber was wearing a ski mask and took out a handgun before demanding the victim’s cell phone and wallet.

In all four incidents, the robber warned the victim not to report the robbery to police, according to the alert.
