EDGEWATER — Sen. Elizabeth Warren will visit Edgewater Saturday, where the Democratic presidential candidate will hold a town hall, according to her campaign.

Warren will visit the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway, for an event that starts at 6:15 p.m. Saturday. Doors for the event open at 5 p.m., according to an email announcement from her campaign.

The visit to Chicago is the second in as many months for Warren, the Massachusetts Democrat who is running for her party’s nomination for president. In late October, Warren showed solidarity with striking Chicago teachers at a rally in Austin.

“Part of what I want to do is I want to give cities like Chicago a good, federal partner,” Warren said at the rally.

The Saturday event in Edgewater will allow the candidate to discuss her plans on getting money out of politics, advocating for LGBTQ Americans and strengthening the American worker, according to her campaign.

Tickets are not required to the town hall event, but RSVPs are strongly encouraged. Those wishing to RSVP can do so through the Illinois for Warren’s event page.

The event will be first come, first served, campaign leaders said.
