CHICAGO — Millions of lights will flicker on at Lincoln Park ZooLights on Nov. 29.

ZooLights — when colorful holiday light displays are set up throughout the zoo — is free and will run through Jan. 5. Visitors can walk around, taking in the more than 2.5 million lights, seeing animals, visiting Santa and enjoying warm drinks and snacks.

Besides the lights, the zoo will offer ticketed experiences like a light maze, a Ferris wheel and a cookie decorating station. It costs $3 for one ticket, $27 for 10 tickets or $51 for 20 tickets, which are only available at the zoo.

There will be Family Nights on Dec. 16, 23 and 30 where kids can eat free at Park Place Cafe and enjoy unlimited free rides on the Lionel Train Adventure and Endangered Species Carousel. There will be carolers those nights, as well.

Winter-themed events and members-only ZooLights nights are also planned. A full schedule is available online.
