CHICAGO — Senn High School on the Far North Side was on lockdown Monday morning after a student brought a pellet gun to class, police said.
At 11:13 a.m., someone called police and reported a person had brought a gun to the school at 5900 N. Glenwood Ave., a Chicago Police spokeswoman said.
Officers responded and took a student into custody after finding a pellet gun, the spokeswoman said. No one was injured.
The student remained in custody. Further information was not immediately available.
