CHICAGO — A man sexually abused a girl Monday in Lakeview, police said.
At 4 p.m., a 12-year-old girl was sitting in a coffee shop in the 3000 block of North Clark Street when a man came up and started talking to the girl. The man asked the girl for a hug several times and then inappropriately touched her, according to a Chicago Police community alert.
A person who witnessed the incident intervened, police said.
The man was black, 20-24 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall and 130-150 pounds, police said. He wore a black White Sox baseball cap, a black Canadian Goose jacket with a fur-lined hood and blue jeans. He called himself “Jackson,” according to police.
Anyone with information about the sexual abuse was asked to call police at 312-492-3810.
