Veggie Grill, Featuring Plant-Based Menu, Opening In West Loop Thursday

The fast-casual eatery is opening its fourth Chicago location at 911 W. Randolph St.

WEST LOOP — Plant-based, fast-casual eatery Veggie Grill will debut another Chicago outpost in West Loop this week. 

The California-based chain, featuring a 100 percent plant-based menu, will open its first West Loop location at 911 W. Randolph St. Thursday.

The restaurant specializes in “burgers,” sandwiches, salads, bowls and burritos that are vegetarian or vegan. Much of the menu is made with meat substitutes.

A quinoa + veg burger, “carne asada” burrito, avocado toast, crisp cauliflower and Mediterranean super greens salad are all on Veggie Grill’s expansive menu. The restaurant will also offer seasonal dishes, including a bbq chickin’ chopped salad and the beyond burger ‘cheesesteak’ sandwich.

The 2,500-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 58 patrons.

“Our team is dedicated to supporting the growing mindful eating movement by inviting all to explore the plant-based movement through our delicious food,” Veggie Grill CEO Steve Heeley said in a statement.

Other Chicago Veggie Grills are located at 614 W. Diversey Parkway in Lakeview, 629 N. Wells St. in River North and 204 N. Wells St. Downtown.

Veggie Grill West Loop will be open is 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
