WICKER PARK — An international chain of ramen shops is opening its second U.S. location in Wicker Park next month.
Kinton Ramen, 1426 N. Milwaukee Ave., expects to open by the end of November, according to a press release. The ramen spot’s only other stateside location is in the West Loop.
Noodles and broths are made from scratch, daily, and will come in the following flavors: original, shoyu, miso, spicy garlic and spicy jalapeño.
Bowls are topped with slices of caramelized pork belly or chicken breast slices.
Shareable plates will include kimuchi, takowasabi, salmon tataki, ton ton don, edamame, ikapiri and karaage.
Owned and operated by the Kinka Family and led by executive chef Aki Urata, Kinton Ramen first opened in Toronto in May 2012. The restaurant now has more than 20 locations worldwide.
The Wicker Park spot will be open 11:30 a.m-10:30 p.m.
