CHICAGO — A drag queen and king are hosting a viewing party for Tuesday’s Democratic debate.
Alma and Mick Douch will host the party at Berlin, streaming the debate and providing commentary alongside panelists Ramona Slick and Ari Gato during commercial breaks. They hope the event can make the debates more accessible.
There will also be games like bingo with prizes.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event starts 7 p.m. at Berlin, 954 W. Belmont Ave. There’s no cover but attendees must be 21 or older with an ID.
The debate will feature a dozen Democratic candidates for the presidency, including frontrunners Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.
