CHICAGO — A person was stabbed during an attempted robbery last week in Ravenswood Manor, police said.
The attempted robbery was one of two similar attacks in the area last week, according to a Chicago Police Community Alert.
The first attempted robbery happened 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The victim was in the 3600 block of West Wilson Avenue when the robber pushed him or her to the ground, police said.
During the second robbery, at 5:45 a.m. Friday, the victim was in the 2800 block of West Montrose Avenue when the robber stabbed him or her, police said.
Both times, the robber took out a knife and demanded property from the victims but then ran off without taking anything, police said.
The attacker was a man who was 30-36 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall and 180-240 pounds, police said.
