WEST LOOP — Police are warning drivers after a spate of car breakins last month in Fulton Market.
During the span of two weeks in September, thieves broke into six parked cars and stole bags, electronics and tools, police said in a community alert.
The most recent car break-in occurred between 6 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. September 30 in the 300 block of North Sangamon Street.
The other incidents happened in the:
- Between 5:20 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 300 block of North Sangamon Street
- Between 4 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 900 block of West Wayman Street
- 6:45 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 900 block of West Fulton Market Street
- Between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 300 block of North Sangamon Street
- Between 6:45 p.m. and 8:59 p.m. Sept. 16 in the 300 block of North Sangamon Street
Police cautioned drivers not to leave valuables inside vehicles. No other information was available.
