CHICAGO — The Navy Pier flyover has been reopened, allowing bicyclists and runners to soar over vehicular traffic near Navy Pier again.
The flyover reopened Monday afternoon after workers finishing connecting its first and second segments. It had been closed since Sept. 3 for construction.
It now goes from Ohio Beach, crosses Grand and Illinois streets and connects to the sidewalk on the lower level of Lake Shore Drive north of the Bridgehouse, according to CDOT
The city is still working on the second and third segments of the flyover.
