LOGAN SQUARE — Revolution Brewing is taking over Milwaukee Avenue for its annual Oktoberfest this weekend.

This year’s headliner is New York City-based rock band Parquet Courts.

A host of other bands are also slated to perform throughout the weekend, including YOB, Bongripper, Pallbearer, REZN, Dehd, Mdou Moctar, Boogarins and Pool Holograph. For a full schedule, visit the event website.

The fest will kick off 3 p.m. Friday in front of the brewpub, 2323 N. Milwaukee Ave., with an Oktoberfest beer tapping set to a traditional Alpine horn band. The band will also play throughout the weekend in the beer tent.

Beer-wise, expect Revolution’s Freedom of Press, Fist City, Rev Pils and, of course, the Oktoberfest German-style lager. There will also be a tent dedicated to Revolution’s barrel-aged Deep Wood series, a first this year. Food will also be served.

For the third year, proceeds will benefit Friends of Goethe School.

The fest will run 3-10 p.m. Friday and noon-10 p.m. Saturday.
