CHICAGO — A man tried to lure a teen girl to a van Monday in Bronzeville, police said.

At 3:20 p.m., the girl was near 45th Street and King Drive when a man who was a passenger in a van told her, “Come here,” according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The girl continued and didn’t go to the van, police said. Soon after, she got into a friend’s car and the friend gave her a ride to her home.

The van with the man inside drove off, going west on 4th Street, police said.

The man was white, 25-35 years old with blonde hair, police said. He was with a black man who was 40-50 years old and had a gray beard and short, gray and black hair. They were in a white utility van with only two front windows.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call police at 312-747-8380.
