CHICAGO — A 43-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run early Monday on the Near North Side.

At 1:56 a.m., the man was hit by a car while walking in the street at 19 E. Ohio St., according to a Chicago Police community alert.

The man was not immediately identified, but an autopsy showed he died from multiple injuries after being hit by a car, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The driver was in a four-door white Toyota Camry, possibly a 2012-2014 model, police said. The driver’s side frontend and side-view mirror had damage. The driver went south on Lake Shore Drive from Grand Avenue.

Anyone with information about the hit-and-run was asked to call police at 312-745-4521.
